CVRCE students bag DLAT Innovation Award in the IT category

The students of C.V. Raman College of Engineering (CVRCE) have reaped laurels for their college in the ‘Smart India hakathon-2018’ organized by AICTE under the aegis of Ministry of Human Resources Development, Government of India at Jaipur in Rajastan. Six of the students from the college have been instrumental in developing and designing an innovative user interface for a Mobile App that would intuitively and seamlessly allow the App User to browse the entire catalogue of AIR/FM streams.

The six member student team Comprising Pallavi Kumari, Satyam, Sourav Srestha, Prince Kumar Himansu, Shreyasri Chakraborty and Sidhant Routray could provide a digital solution by designing the App within 36 hours on working upon the Problem Statement of Information and Broadcasting Ministry(I&B) . This has also fetched them the ‘DLAT Innovation award’ in the IT category. Interestingly, the digital solution offered by the students of the CVRCE is an accomplishment on its own merit. This would also help to track the FM channels broad cast under I&B Ministry. The audiences will have an advantage to get an access to the channels from one platform. Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore , the Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, as the Guest on the occasion lauded the achievement of the students of CVRCE . He also mentioned that his ministry would very soon be taking steps to introduce the App developed by the students for the benefit of the audiences. The Chairman of CVRCE, Sanjib Kumar Rout has expressed his satisfaction on the achievement of his students. He also announced that the opportunity for ‘Start up’ will be included in the incubation centre to be set up by Ministry of EIT, Government of India.
